About Nathan Tueller

Nathan has served for 10 years on the Perry City Council, where he has worked with residents and fellow leaders to guide responsible growth, improve the community, and work through difficult decisions to help the city thrive. He brings a unique ability to listen and see issues from multiple perspectives, allowing him to make thoughtful and balanced decisions. His service has provided valuable experience in budgeting, planning, and practical local government.

Nathan is a husband, father, business owner, and dedicated public servant who has called Box Elder County home for more than 30 years. His wife grew up here, and together they have raised their five children in the community they proudly call home.

Nathan’s work ethic and respect for rural communities began early. Growing up in Ogden, Utah, his father served as a Weber County Extension Agent and helped local 4-H programs succeed. Nathan spent many summers traveling the county with his father attending horse shows, delivering and weighing chickens, and supporting county fairs. Through these experiences, he developed a lasting appreciation for agriculture and the important role farming communities play in raising strong and capable young people. He also spent time working on his brother-in-law’s potato farm in Burley, Idaho, gaining firsthand experience with agricultural life.

Nathan learned the value of hard work from his parents at a young age. He started with a newspaper route in Ogden and later began working at a local nursery and garden center at just 13 years old. It was there that his love for landscaping began — a passion that has continued for nearly 40 years.

Nathan has been an athlete for most of his life and has been privileged to be part of championship teams. Through athletics he learned the importance of teamwork, understanding your role, and committing to the highest level of effort and performance.

Nathan and his family built and operated a full-service landscape company for 25 years, earning a reputation for dependable service and quality workmanship. Through decades of hands-on experience, Nathan learned how to manage employees, meet payroll, balance budgets, and solve problems in the real world. He later helped establish a company focused on landscape design, consulting, and project management, helping clients plan and complete projects efficiently and responsibly.

Nathan believes the value of great leadership is priceless. What goes right — and what goes wrong — can often be traced back to leadership. He believes strong leaders reflect honestly, take responsibility, and continually work to improve.

Nathan has built his businesses on simple principles:

Be where you say you will be
Do what you say you will do
Leave nothing undone

Nathan believes county government should be practical, transparent, and fiscally responsible. He is committed to listening carefully, making thoughtful decisions, and protecting the values and quality of life that make Box Elder County a great place to live and raise a family.

Nathan is running for Box Elder County Commissioner to serve the community that has given so much to his family. He is committed to working hard, keeping his word, and getting the job done right.
